Our Focus

From our inception as a Boutique Brokerage our vision has been to put our Client’s interests ahead of ours and provide a concierge experience that positively exceeds our Client’s expectations for superior service. Because we focus on one client at a time, you’ll get to work with us one-on-one until you meet the home of your dreams in Steamboat Springs or elsewhere in Northwest Colorado. Our doors have been open and serving the community in Steamboat since 1992. We look forward to the opportunity to serve your family with the goal of transitioning from a Client–Broker relationship into a lasting friendship and neighbor.

Our History

1992 thru 2004: Our Boutique is born as a Metro Broker’s Office operating as MacArthur Real Estate by founder Patti MacArthur. Many within the Steamboat Springs Real Estate community consider Patti as the “Mother” of Steamboat Real Estate based on her warm encouraging and nurturing personality. An incredible Realtor, she finds her greatest joy with the titles of Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and especially a Friend to all. She epitomizes living the “Golden Rule”.

2004 thru 2020: In 2004 Patti and her husband Chuck were ready for a change from their active and successful careers and wanted to transition into retirement. In the fall of the year Mark Stine purchased MacArthur Real Estate and our Boutique became MacArthur & Stine Real Estate. Upon earning his Real Estate license, Mark sought out Patti as a mentor within the industry even though he was working within the Colorado Springs market. For Mark it was a logical decision and as Patti had assured him during the transition “change is not easy but it is good and necessary”. As MacArthur & Stine Real Estate our company has grown it’s reach fortunate to serve families domestic and abroad.

2021 thru Today: With the new year comes some of that necessary “change” as our Boutique transitions from MacArthur & Stine Real Estate to the Mark Stine Agency. The influences of our beginning combined with the dynamic technologies of today have allowed us to begin the next and best chapter of serving our clients. As we merge our past with our present and future we can serve our clients better, quicker and customize it to our client’s preferred service delivery.

Meet Mark

Mark Stine was born in Los Angeles, CA and on his 6th birthday his family moved to a farm in his Dad’s hometown of Noble Illinois in Southern Illinois. He and his brother Bruce were fortunate enough to get to work alongside his Grandfather and Dad in the fields and around the family grain and cattle farm teaching him about responsibility, that time provided Mark with precious memories and experiences that have become helpful around his little Steamboat ranch today. After High School summers were spent working in the oilfields so that he could finance college. Mark attended Eastern Illinois University graduating in 1985 with a B.A. in Economics. Professionally his career began within the software industry, later it has taken him into telecom before finding his love of the Real Estate Industry. In 2002 Mark earned his Real Estate license and in 2004 his Managing Brokers license.

His first visit to Steamboat Springs was in 1987 to surprise a girlfriend that was spending Christmas skiing our incredible champagne powder. That girlfriend, Corrin, became his wife in 1990. Mark and Corrin have a daughter, Makenzie that is a student at Baylor University pursuing a degree in Health Sciences then on to a career within the Medical service arena.

Of all the great things Steamboat has to offer both Mark and Corrin it is the Western Lifestyle and Ranching Community they feel the most connected. Mark has immersed himself into the Western lifestyle and rich history that Steamboat offers. While he loves a night out at the Rodeo, he also enjoys riding horses with Corrin and dates for dinner at Three Peaks Grill coupled with a great red wine. As a Foodie he can guide you to the best offerings in Northwest Colorado such as in the southern part of the valley, Mark enjoys a quick bite at Lupita’s in Oak Creek. A guilty pleasure of Mark’s is the Smell of the Bread Bakery nestled downtown. In the summertime, you can find Mark and his family wondering about the offers of the local Farmers Market, which usually includes a stop at the salsa table. Mark and his four-legged friend, Buddy, can be spotted on the Core Trail around lunchtime.
